XXII MITJA MARATO DE GANDÍA

20'097k homologados por la R.F.E.A., circuito llano de una sola vuelta,salida con cajones,prácticos ó el famoso globo,cinco avituallamientos uno extra en el 18,un total de 18 puntos de animación,una buena bolsa del runner y un público que no deja de animar.
Todos estos detalles, convierten a una carrera en extraordinaria, y así es la "Mitja Marató de Gandía", que este año celebraba su 22 edición.
La salida se daba a las 9'30 desde la Av. dels Sports, el pasado domingo 6 de noviembre.
La enhorabuena al C.C.El Garbí por su acertada organización, y a los 5 del club que acudieron.

On Sunday, November the 6th,at 9'30a.m.,started the 22nd edition of the Gandia's half marathon.
A very popular race for various reasons.
A flat circuit all in one lap, boxes at the start, balloons with time reference,5 feeding stations,an extra one at 18k,a good goody bag and 18 entertainment points with also the locals cheering non stop.Enough to encourage anyone to take part.
Congratulations to the local club C.C.El Garbí, for its superb organisation and also to the 5magnificents from the club who were among the 2300 crossing the finishing line.

Volta a Peu a L'Ollería&Carrera de los Rascacielos

El pasado sábado, día 29 de noviembre, a las 16h, se daba la salida a la Volta a Peu a L'Ollería.
Una carrera de 10k, que forma parte del Circuito de carreras de  La Vall d'Albaida.
Nuestro querido Jose Carlos, estuvo allí representando al club.

Last Saturday, November the 29th, at 16h,no siesta there,kicked off the Volta a Peu of L'Ollería.
It's a 10k long race, part of a circuit called,Circuito de carrerad La Vall d'Albaida.
Our friend Jose Carlos took part in it.

Un día después,  30 de noviembre, a las 10a.m. se daba la salida a otra 10k, esta vez en Benidorm, donde se disputaba la Carrera de los Rascacielos en su cuarta edición.
Allí acudió Antonio Serrat, que está en un muy dulce momento cómo runner y subió al podium cómo segundo en su categoría.
¡Enhorabuena!

A day after, November the 30th, another 10k long race took place, this time in Benidorm.
In this occasion. It was our dear Toni Serrat who made it and managed to get on the podium as second in his category.

XVII PUJÀ AL MONTCABRER

Eran las 9h del domingo 16 de Octubre cuando, desde la piscina municipal de Alcoy, se daba  la salida a la"XVII PUJÀ AL MONTCABRER".
La meta se situaba a 500m de la salida y los corredores tenian que completar  una distancia de  19 k en la que se pasaba por la cima del Montcabrer.
La organización corrió a cargo del Club Montañismo de Alcoy.
Allí acudieron Serafí, Felip y Pere, representando al club.

At 9 o'clock a.m. , on Sunday, October the 16th from Alcoy's municipal swimming pool, departed the "XVII PUJÀ AL MONTCABRER".
This is a cross country race with a distance of 19k in wich runners have to reach the summit of Montcabrer mountain,from wich the race is name after.
Of the nearly 300 runners, who crossed the finishing line, three wore the club's top.

XIV VOLTA A PEU BENIARBEIG

El sábado pasado, día 15 de Octubre, a las 18h y con salida y meta en la Avenida La Pau de Beniarbeig, empezaba la XIV Volta a Peu.
Se trata de una carrera llana de 10k cuya organización corrió a cargo del consistorio local y el C.A.Cap i Cua.
Allí estuvo, cómo no, Jose Carlos, para contarlo.

It was 18h, in the small town of Beniarbeig, when a couple of hundreds of runners, gathered to complete the flat 10k of the "XIV Volta a Peu".
The race was organised by the local town hall and the local running club "Cap I Cua".
Jose Carlos was there to witness the whole thing.

XXII CURSA 9 D'OCTUBRE ALTEA

Se cumplieron las expectativas, se batieron records, se lograron metas, se superaron barreras,se recompensaron esfuerzos y se satisfacieron las esperanzas.Pero, sobre todo,se vivieron momentos de gloria que sólo este gran deporte, el running, nos aporta tantas veces.
Gracias a tod@s por haberlo hecho posible,fuimos 36 del club de un total de 380'que cruzaron la meta.Gracias a todos los clubs e individuales, que participaron de la gran fiesta.Gracias a los organizadores, a la estupenda junta que tenemos y a nuestro presi, Antonio,que en todo momento se volcó para cumplir con su sueño, y el de todos nosotros, que la carrera del 9 de Octubre, sea otra vez, una gran carrera.

Expectations were met, records were broken,goals were achieved,barriers were overcome,efforts were rewarded and hopes were satisfied.But, above all,there were many glorious moments, that running brings us so often.
Thanks to all of you who, with your participation, made that day so great, it was ,36 of us, never saw so many,out of 380 who crossed the finishing line.
Thanks to all those involved in the organisation, and special mention to our president.He involved himself, at all times, to fulfill his dream, to make this race as great as it was once.

Presentación Oficial

Este miércoles, 5 de Octubre,se presentó en el consistorio alteano, la nueva equipación del club.
Allí estuvieron el concejal de deportes, Pere Barber, nuestro máximo representante, Antonio Gutiérrez y Severino Signes, cuya empresa SIGGO, es la principal patrocinadora de la nueva equipación.
Este domingo, sobre las 8'45,tendrá lugar la foto oficial en la salida de la carrera.

The club's new uniform, was officially presented at the town hall in Altea, last wednesday, October the fifth.
Our main representative, Antonio, attended the event, alongside with the counselor for sport, Pere Barber,and  Severino Signes, whose company is the uniform's main sponsor.
On Sunday, at about 8'45,  we'll have a foto taken at  the town hall square.

XVI CURSA POPULAR LA XARA

El pasado sábado, día 24, se celebró en la localidad de La Xara,la decimosexta edición de la "Volta a Peu".La salida se dió a las 18'30 desde la Pla¢a del Garrofer, y la organización corrió a cargo del C.A.La Xara.
Se trata de una 7k, con poco desnivel, con su correspondiente avituallamiento en el 5 y en meta.
Hasta allí, se desplazaron dos de los nuestros.Ambos tuvieron una gran actuación, destacando el podium de Antonio, que quedo quinto en la general.

It was Saturday, September the 24th, when the 16th edition of the "Volta a Peu" of La Xara, departed from the Pla¢a El Garrofer at precisely 18'30.
It was a 7k long race, with hardly any hills.Feeding station at the 5th k.and at the end, of course.
Two from the club made it that day.They both did great, special mention to Antonio's fifth place in the overall race, and third in his cathegory.

V VOLTA A PEU ORBA

Eran las 19h del sábado, 10 de septiembre, cuando desde la calle mayor de Orba, se daba la salida a la V edición, de la Volta a Peu.
Se trataba de una carrera de 7k, la cual tenía muy poco de llano, el que conoce Orba sabe lo que digo.
El recorrido, fué totálmente urbano y daba dos vueltas a Orba y a Orbeta.
Alrededor de 150 runners, nos juntamos aquella tarde, de los cuales, cuatro éramos del club.

It was 19h in the evening of September the 10th, when around 150 runners gathered in the main street of Orba,ready to complete the 7k of this race in its fifth edition.
The circuit was totally urban, and those who know Orba, realise that there's plenty of hills on those 7k.
That evening it was four of us from the club with these times.

V 5&10K La Nucia

Se acerca la calor y cada vez van quedando menos carreras,pero aún hay.
El sábado, día 11 de junio, se disputaba los 5&10k de La Nucía, prueba puntuable para el circuito de la Costa Blanca.
La salida se dió a las 20h desde el polideportivo Camilo Cano y consistió en dos vueltas, una los 5k, desde la salida a la plaza  de la iglesia y volver.
El tiempo, aunque algo húmedo, fué benigno con los runners que allí se dieron cita.Un total de 72 acabaron los 10k, entre ellos dos del club.

Summer is coming and the chances of compiting in a race are getting slimmer.

There are, however, a few left.
Lasr Saturday, June the 11th, at 20h, from the La Nucia sport center.
Runners had the option of doing 5k, from sport center to church square and back, or 10k, the same but done twice.
The weather, though humid, was lenient with the runners , a total of 72 made it to the finishing line in the 10k, two of them from the club.

XIX CURSA POPULAR A BENISSA

Se acabó la fiesta.El Circuito de la Marina Alta, ha llegado a su fín.Por supuesto, en Benisa, donde a las 19h del 4 de Junio, desde la avenida Padre Andrés Ivars se daba la salida a la XIX Cursa Popular a Benissa, allí mismo se situaba la meta 9´5k después.
La organización corrió a cargo del C.A.Benissa, junto con el ayuntamiento.
También hubo carreras infantiles, las cuales empezaron a las 17h.
En cuanto a la carrera, los que la han hecho saben lo dura que es, ya que cuenta con muchas cuestas y la tán famosa cuesta final.
Fueron un buén número de los Runners de Altea los que no se perdieron la fiesta final.El club, ha logrado una estupenda clasificación,25 de 106 clubs.Ha sido sobre todo el año de Pepi, que ha estado en el podium casi en cada carrera.Yo personálmente, aunque no haya participado, me siento muy satisfecho de la actuac ión del club y agrzadezco el esfuerzo y sacrificio que habeís puesto en cada carrera.Podeís estar muy satisfechos de vosotros mismos y del gran club del que formaís parte.
